Behind every word a child speaks for the first time, there is a parent who almost lost hope, and someone who refused to give up. For 8 years, in Varanasi and across India, that someone has been me. This is my story, and I hope it becomes part of yours.

Years ago, a mother walked into my room holding her four-year-old son. She was exhausted in a way only a worried parent can be. For two years she had been told the same thing by everyone, “just wait, he will speak when he is ready.” But he had not spoken a single word, and her heart was breaking quietly every single day.
I looked at that little boy, really looked at him, and I saw something the world had missed. He was not empty. He was not “slow”. He was simply waiting for someone to find the door to his world and gently knock. So that is what we did, together, day after day, sound by sound.
That day changed me forever. I realised this was never going to be just a job for me. These children do not need someone who pities them. They need someone who truly believes they can, even on the days when no one else does. That belief, more than any technique, is what opens them up.
Since then, for over 8 years at Arambh Autism Centre in Varanasi, I have sat with more than a hundred children, two-year-olds and ten-year-olds, verbal and non-verbal, gentle and stormy. Each one taught me patience. Each one taught me hope. And each family reminded me why I will never, ever tell a parent to “just wait and see”.
Three things I promise every child who comes to me.
Every child can grow
There is no such thing as a child who “cannot”. There are only children waiting for the right person, the right pace, and a lot of patience. I see the potential first, always.
Parents are partners
You know your child better than anyone. I never work above you, I work beside you, sharing every step so the love and progress continue long after our session ends.
Honesty, always
I will never sell you false hope or empty promises. I will tell you the truth gently, celebrate every real win with you, and stand by your child for as long as they need me.
Heart first, but qualified through and through.
